It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder (Kiss, Merry, Kill #2) by Ally Carter

book cover for It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder

5*

I thoroughly enjoyed Carter’s The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year (Book 1 of the series Kiss, Merry, Kill) and am pleased to say that Book 2 is equally engaging, humorous, and mysterious. There are some similarities (a Christmas gathering at a mansion, a childhood enemies to lovers romance, and a mysterious disappearance of a pivotal character), but It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Murder is a unique mystery with a sizable cast of greedy suspects, one or more of whom won’t be happy until they’ve removed any human obstacles in their path to untold riches.

There is a fine line between love and hate, and Ella and Liam have been straddling it for twenty years. However, when Liam is presumed dead and Ella is the prime suspect, it becomes a hilarious cat-and-mouse caper once she realizes that Liam is very much alive but needing her help to keep him that way. The only way to survive is to stick together, and that closeness is just what they need to discover what they could be to each other. If you like a little mystery with your Christmas reading, I highly recommend this delightful Christmas caper.

I received a complimentary ARC of this book from Avon Books through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are completely my own.
